PROGRAMMES YOUTH AND SUSTAINABLE LIFESTYLES

The proposal pretends:

• To achieve young people to wonder about environmental and social consequences of their behaviour as consumers.
   
  
• To obtain the necessary formation for youngsters, to modify their attitudes towards more responsible norms of consumption.
  
  
• They have information to canalize their purchases of goods and services towards suppliers that have an expressed commitment with sustainability and maintain company politics consistent with responsible consumption.
  

Objective

Generate among young consumers from Argentina a culture of sustainable consumption

Specific Objectives

• Contribute to the development of actions focus in sustainable consumption capable of bringing solutions to the environmental problematic of the country, with special emphasis in the main role of youngsters in the protection and improvement of the environment and on their life quality.
  
  
• Provide a space of reflexion and analysis on the way of consumption and production in young Argentineans, in order to encourage an environmental culture that rearranges habits and consumption modes towards sustainability.
  

The Programme is oriented to the participation on Young consumers that assume the responsibility of wondering about environmental consequences of their actions, related with the consumption of resources, energy, goods and services. Also, it is foreseen to awake in those youngsters that do not show a specific leaning to the subject, the interest and the comprehension of it. In this way, it will be achieved by young people, the filtration of their actions into ones of more sustainable quality.
